Being one of the leading SMS/MMS application developers in the UK it was only natural for us to move in to mobile app development as we have been working with mobiles for over 11 years.
GloverSure's experienced team of Mobile App Developers can develop both native and non-native apps for iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone.
We use PhoneGap on a number of our mobile app Projects. PhoneGap allows the app to be deployed to multiple platforms at a much lower cost than developing native apps. This framework was actually used successfully for the BBC Olympics app and it was at that time we started using PhoneGap. It is amazing how far forward non native apps have come over the past few years and they now really do offer a great alternative to the more expensive native apps. But at times it is better to develop an app natively due to the requirements of a specific app, we are happy to advise on this.
We are currently working on some exciting apps for our customers which will be launched shortly, here are some of the most recent apps we have developed for our customers:-
HCC (Hybu Cig Cymru) Carcass App
This is an app that we have recently developed and was used recently at the Royal Welsh Show. The app was used for a competition and contestants had to stand in front of a series of carcasses and use the app to judge them. The app required users to input contact information as well as their answers in to the app with the results being stored in a database. The score for each user is worked out and the user is placed in chronological order inside an admin system. An email can then be sent to each user to let them know if they had won or lost.
Financial Game is a mobile app game that we hae developed to teach both young and old about business accounting. This was also developed using the open source framework PhoneGap. The app was developed to work on tablet or mobile and on both Android and iOS platforms.
Synchro ERP is an app that we have developed using PhoneGap. The app helps with the workflow of steel production. In this app there is a snagging related section that allows staff to record scrap and the reasons for it to help things to improve in the future. The app has been developed for tablets and works on both iOS and Android.
Greengage / NHS Apps
This is just one of four apps that we have developed for Greengage Consulting. All four of the apps have been developed to provide a range of tools that help the leaders and help to improve business productivity within the NHS. The apps have all been developed to work on Android, iOS and Windows platforms.
All of the content inside the apps can all be updated via an online admin system.
My Bump Buddies
My Bump Buddies is an exciting new App for pregnant women. It enables a pregnant lady to find a 'Bump Buddy' (another pregnant lady who is due to give birth around the same time and / or lives nearby). They can then start messaging each other through this easy to use app that has been developed in Phone Gap, there is a paid for Android version and a free iOS version available.
ShoreCatch is a fishing app that we developed using Phone Gap. The mobile app gives tips on what fishermen can catch at different points around Wales as well as advising on what the best tackle and bait to use is.
The iDrive app was developed using PhoneGap. This particular app provides a messaging service between the office and their drivers on the road via a tablet on their dashboard, it also allows them to navigate to a location provided in a message as well as being able to take a signature from the customer and uploading it to the admin system.
This a taxi booking service that gets quotes from multiple taxi companies, we built this native app so that users can easily get a quote and make a booking, we also developed a web admin system that allow taxi companies to quote on each job that comes in, together with a website to advertise the system.
This is a native app that cost only £1500+VAT, it is an app for farmers to work out how much of a product to add to a cows diet. It asks a number of questions and tells you how acidic a cows diet is and then goes on to tell you how much of our customers product the farmer should add. This app received a lot of PR in national Agricultural magazines and newspapers. We were told that the amount of coverage received in media paid for the app many times over and was a great PR exercise.
